UK Footballer Makes NXT Debut, WWE Hides Network Logo, Lucha Underground Ratings

Stuart Tomlinson Makes NXT Debut

Former UK football goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson, who last played for League 2 team Burton Albion, made his NXT debut at last night’s event in Daytona, Florida. He is now going by the name Hugo Knox and teamed with Elias Samson and Steve Cutler to lose to Angelo Dawkins, Chad Gable and Sawyer Fulton.

Fellow NXT wrestler Kevin Owens (Kevin Steen) praised Knox on Twitter:

WWE Hides Network Logo On UK Ring

In order to prevent false advertising WWE taped up the Network logo on the ring aprons at some of the recent UK live events, though if anything it’s just caused even more negative press.

Lucha Underground Rating Increases

This week’s English episode of Lucha Underground drew 29,000 viewers on the El Rey Network. This is up from last week’s very low 8,000 number. It should be noted however that these figures do not include the replays or Spanish speaking version of the show.

It’s believed the show’s creators are trying to get it on an online platform like iTunes or Hulu so the internet fans can watch it in an official format that they can tally.
