RAW News, Bryan Update, Booker T Apologizes For Owen Comment, Corgan TNA Update

Payback and KOTR Set

Fans got to vote for the main event of Payback during last night’s RAW, and chose Seth Rollins defending against Randy Orton and Roman Reigns, in a Triple Threat Match.

The first round King of The Ring matches saw R-Truth beat Stardust, Bad News Barrett beat Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus beat Dean Ambrose by DQ, and Neville beat Luke Harper. The finals air tonight on the WWE Network:

– R-Truth vs. Bad News Barrett

– Sheamus vs. Neville

Daniel Bryan’s Status

Brie Bella revealed during RAW that there is no timetable for Daniel Bryan’s return. He is still however the Intercontinental Champion. It’s believed he re-injured his neck and may have also suffered a concussion ahead of the European tour.

Booker T’s Owen Hart Comment

Booker T has apologized for comments he made about Owen Hart during RAW that may be misconstrued (by idiots) as being offensive. In putting over Neville as a high-flyer he brought up the former King of The Ring winner. He said Owen “couldn’t defy gravity” like Neville, which considering his tragic death is perhaps a poor choice of words. Of course there was no negative intent by Booker and he was simply referring to Neville’s gimmick.

Corgan Wants Complex Storylines

New TNA creative chief Billy Corgan told Fox News that he wants to add some complexities to TNA’s storylines:

There is a tremendous opportunity to go into really fresh, new directions. Having characters who explore race or transgender issues is certainly a possibility. There are ways to explore those themes in ways that are productive, create new stars and show that value-based ‘babyfaces’, no matter what their background, no matter where they come from, can draw new audiences and inspire people in new ways.
