JR Doesn’t Want To Commentate Full Time In Wrestling Again?
When asked on Twitter if he will ever “do full time commentary again”, Jim Ross replied: “Highly unlikely 4 pro wrestling.”
He has however expressed interest in calling MMA, but so far nothing has come of it.
JR “retired” from WWE in September, and although he met with TNA officials several years back, has stated that he’s no longer interested. At the time he wanted considerable control, which TNA simply couldn’t give him.
Hulk Hogan on Oprah Winfrey Network
Here is a clip of Hulk Hogan’s recent interview on OWN’s “Where Are they Now?” He gave a tame recount of his apparent suicide attempt, and an encounter in a restaurant that changed his outlook on life.
The Hulkster is currently angling for an appearance at Wrestlemania 30.
Chris Benoit Match Not On HBK DVD
Despite being featured on the Wrestlemania Anthology, the Chris Benoit vs Triple H vs Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania 20 match is not part of the upcoming HBK “Mr. WrestleMania” box set, according to WrestlingDVDNews.com.
Original promotional material for the DVD and Blu-ray release erroneously listed 17 matches, but minus the Benoit match it’s actually 16.
In a recent blog exploring the Benoit tragedy I expressed the opinion that in a historical context showing Benoit on DVD shouldn’t really be a problem – history is history – though anything glorifying him such as a Hall of Fame induction would be a distasteful move (and will never happen). What made Benoit so successful, his tough in-ring style and relentless work ethic, is part of the reason he suffered so many concussions and subsequent brain damage – which in turn likely contributed to the tragedy.
