Jake Roberts Has Cancer? Foley Writes Open Letter To WWE, Chamber Not On Xbox

TMZ Says Jake Roberts Has Cancer

TMZ is reporting that 2014 Hall of Famer Jake Roberts has cancer:

Jake “The Snake” Roberts has a cancerous tumor behind his knee … and the wrestler says it’s slowly growing into his muscle — so he needs emergency surgery to remove the growth.

Roberts tells TMZ … he noticed a tumor behind his knee the size of a half dollar last month so he had it tested … and on Friday doctors told him the test came back positive for cancer.

Jake says he’s scheduled to go under the knife Tuesday morning … and after a few weeks off — he’ll make his return to Jersey Championship Wrestling on March 14th — cancer, or not.

Jake adds, “If the devil can’t defeat me, cancer doesn’t stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease ’cause The Snake will be just fine.”

As for his upcoming induction into the WWE Hall of Fame … the wrestler says nothing will stop him from getting to New Orleans for the ceremony.

Mick Foley Writes Letter About Elimination Chamber

Mick Foley has written an open letter to WWE on his Facebook, pleading with them to have a good Elimination Chamber PPV:

DEAR WWE,

Please, please, please, please, have a great show tonight.

As a fan of pro-wrestling – have a great show.

As a father of four who has ordered every PPV for the past year – have a great show.

As the guy whose big Christmas present to his family was a family trip to New Orleans for Wrestlemania, even though he knew he wasn’t likely to appear on the event – have a great show.

On behalf of all those other dads or moms who have done the same thing; spent considerable money on an event that thus far is not capturing our imaginations – have a great show.

As a Disney fan who wouldn’t want to arrive at the Magic Kingdom just to find out all his favorite attractions were closed – have a great show.

As someone who still remembers how it felt to be 18 years old and see Jimmy Snuka dive off the top of the cage – to see the magic pro-wrestling was capable of creating – and knows you have the ability and personnel to make people feel that same magic – have a great show.

As the estranged son who still loves his WWE family, and, no matter what, in some strange way, always will – have a great show.

Sincerely,

Mick Foley

Elimination Chamber Not On Xbox 360

You will not be able to purchase tonight’s WWE Elimination Chamber PPV on the Xbox 360, in “anticipation” for the launch of the WWE Network. It’s not clear if this is temporary or a permanent move.
