Finlay Praised For Divas, JR On Batista’s Return, Interesting Shield Poll

Brisco Praises Finlay For Diva’s Division

WWE talent scout Gerald Brisco praised Fit Finlay for his role in developing the modern Diva’s division, during a recent Miami Herald piece:

“It’s like building a house in 1920 or building a house in 2013. What do you start with? You start with the foundation. You lay that foundation, and everything else will fall into place…I’m going to give props to where it’s due. The divas, the ladies are better athletes now than they have been ever before, not taking away from anyone before. Props go out to David Fit Finlay also because he has handled the divas and turned them into tough workers. It’s outstanding to see, and I can see his fingerprints all over it. He has done a tremendous job. He has taken that charge because some people would have been, ‘Oh no, not the divas.’ He said, ‘Give it to me.’ Now they come to him to see how to make it a little bit tougher and rougher. He takes that time to sit down to explain it to them and breaks it down into details to where they are able to understand it. He is a tremendous asset to the division and WWE.”

Jim Ross Q&A Update

Jim Ross continues to answer fan questions on – here are some new ones:

Shawn Michaels vs The Rock?
“I simply don’t feel HBK is returning to the ring. I believe him when he says he’s done.”

JR’s commentary chemistry with Paul Heyman:
“It was awesome. Two complete opposites who were quickly able to refine our act. Paul’s very talented.”

Batista’s Return:
“If Batista returns he’s obviously main event bound. Wouldn’t surprise me.”

Damien Sandow:
“I like Sandow’s persona. I think he’s getting ample TV time and it’s up to him to maximize his minutes, no matter if one thinks they are for better or for worse. That’s what pros do. If he steers the course, more often than not, he will come out the other side whole. Legit talents who persevere generally prevail.”

I’m actually surprised about the Shield poll. I was certain that reigns would rocket to the top and stay there. Of course they are all extremely talented and should stay at the top for a long time :)
