Divas Reunite, Harper and Rowan Steal Move, Why Angle Isn’t In WWE

Attitude Divas Reunite

Former WWE Divas Ivory, Trish Stratus, Lita, Terri, and Victoria reunited for Saturday’s “Lasting Legacy: A Tribute To Women In Wrestling” event in North Carolina.

Ivory presented a trophy to NWA Women’s Champion Santana Garrett (Brittany in TNA) for winning the night’s tournament.

Lita recently spoke with Busted Open about being a trainer on the new season of Tough Enough:

“I don’t want to just hand you a script and say put your left leg up… yeah I could train a robot to do that but that’s not who is going to be the next superstar. You need to be able to process this information and make it your own, digest it-go to sleep-wake up and use it. So I love that challenge of how am I going to get through to you to make you the next superstar.”

Trish recently spoke with NewsDay about NXT women’s trainer Sara Amato (Sara Del Rey):

“I read something Triple H said recently — he said, don’t think of it as me hiring a female trainer, I hired a trainer to train the girls. And really that’s great. In our time, we had Fit Finley helping shape and guide our development, so I guess you could say Sara Del Rey is the Fit Finley of this generation. Because we had that guidance, and that’s why our stuff stopped looking so fluffy and became real fights. And if you know how he wrestled — a known brawler — that certainly translated into our work. I think we’ll definitely see the same thing with Sara Del Rey and her girls as well. I’m sure they have captured Sara’s fighting spirit.”

Harper & Rowan Doing 3D

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have been using the 3D move on recent house shows, so it’s likely they’ll begin using it on TV next week.

Kurt Angle On Returning To TNA

Kurt Angle discussed WWE not signing him when his last TNA deal expired, in an interview with the UK Mirror:

“I don’t think that Triple H and I have any problems with each other, I’ve always liked him. He’s always treated me with respect and I’ve always treated him the same. No, I don’t think it was that. There was a point when my manager talked to them and I believe they did say ‘he would have to wrestle full-time’. That is not an option for me, not at this point in my career. So, whether that was part of it, honestly I just don’t think they had that much interest in signing Kurt Angle at that point. For whatever reason, it could have been my mishaps in my past, it could have been that they didn’t think I was healthy enough to go – and obviously I am – but we never got a full answer of why they couldn’t give me what I wanted. And it wasn’t just what I wanted, it was a reduced schedule, but there was no option.

“Dixie Carter gave me exactly what I wanted and it wasn’t a hard decision. I wasn’t upset, I was excited about signing another year with TNA. I think they did an incredible job this year. They had to refocus, they had to re-group, they had some issues in the past, and I think they’ve done an incredible job of making their way back. Are they back to what they were? No. But they’re on their way and they’re doing so many good things right now that make me excited about being part of the company.”
