Alberto Del Rio has been busy negotiating deals since he settled with WWE the other week and got his US non-compete clause removed. This makes him free to pursue any wrestling TV opportunities in the States, and he’s already got two in the works.
The Mexican star is scheduled to debut for Lucha Underground’s second season which will premiere next year. Furthermore rumor has it that he’s been telling people TNA is on the horizon. It’s possible he could be with both at the same time.
Now working under the name El Patron Alberto, the former WWE Champ also made his debut at Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore over the weekend:
Although he’s been open about the racism in WWE, part of his settlement means he can no longer bad mouth them … at least on paper.
